Scouting

FSA's youth program includes an active and vibrant relationship with both Boy Scouts of America and American Heritage Girls. On a monthly basis, talented and dedicated volunteer instructors come together to make available to BSA or AHG Troops experience in smallbore rifle, shotgun shooting, or both. BSA Merit Badge counsellors are available.

With some planning ahead, careful attention to instructors and coaches, and diligent effort, many Boy Scouts can earn their shotgun or rifle merit badges at FSA during a weekend campout.

FSA also makes available a primitive campground to such youth groups during the weekend of their experience at FSA.

If you are a Boy Scout or American Heritage Girls Leader or indeed if you are the leader of any youth group and would like your group to be exposed to the best side of firearms training & safety, together with fun and the exhilaration that comes with mastering a new skill, often one that the youth never considered before, then contact our Youth Section Leader, Brian Ferneding. He'll be more than happy to get you and your group set up to come out for a memorable day at the range
